Actresses and childhood friends, Stéphanie Chuat and Véronique Reymond wrote and directed their first feature in 2010, La petite chambre (The Little Bedroom) starring Michel Bouquet, which won numerous awards and was the Swiss Entry at the Academy Awards. The duo also created their first Swiss series, Open Book, followed by a second one, TOXIC, currently in development and coproduced with Vertigo-UK. In 2022, they were lead directors of the Netflix series Transatlantic, created by Anna Winger (Unorthodox). They also directed the documentary Ladies, in competition at the Festival Visions du Réel and selected by a number of festivals. Stéphanie Chuat and Véronique Reymond have written and directed a new feature, My Little Sister (Schwesterlein) starring Nina Hoss and Lars Eidinger, selected in International Competition at the Berlinale 2020. The film was the Swiss Entry at the Academy Awards and won a bunch of Awards. They are currently developing a new feature film, Still Dreaming, with Nina Hoss attached, and are working on the US remake of The Little Bedroom with Morgan Freeman, Kate Mara and Laurence Fishburne.
